Testing my new Nikon D700 (2008)

Finally we got a camera that can produce great images with almost no digital noise with high ISO setting. I tested my camera on ISO-1000 and ISO-1600.

Nikon D700 High ISO test 01

I was  surprised in a good way. The quality of the images is, I can say “Ready to Print” with a little curves and color correction in Photoshop.

Main beauty of shooting on High ISO is a possibility of using available low light with a combination of external flash. I used it just to give a little “punch”, a little extra “spotlight” to my photos. And main – low light – works just perfect. I shot my test Pictures in Santana Row at night with available light from the parking garage and my Nikon external flash with a PocketWizard Plus Remote Trigger.

One more thing: now, with Nikon D700 we can play and use lighting sources with different light temperature. In another words we can create compositions with warm and cool colors using different sources of light.
